The Catch Up Numeracy sequence of teaching
  1. An individual learner profile is created across the 10 components of numeracy
  2. The profile is used to set targets, across the whole profile and with individual components
  3. The targets are used to focus the content of each 15 minute Individual teaching session
  4. Each Individual teaching session includes explanation, modelling, activity, discussion, questioning and recording
  5. Progress is discussed, reviewed and recorded at the end of each Individual teaching session
  6. Numeracy targets are revised in the light of progress
  
Support Minimize
  • Catch Up provides support to help local authorities, schools and other settings implement Catch Up Numeracy as effectively as possible
  • Support is available by telephone, by email, and (for everyone who has been trained by Catch Up) via the Catch Up Community
  
The Catch Up Community
  • Open to everyone who has been trained by Catch Up
  • A newsletter and password protected web pages provide additional support (includes the Catch Up Numeracy online list of activities – a unique tool to enable easy access to the ‘Wave 3 mathematics’ and ‘Overcoming Barriers in Mathematics’ materials for use within the Catch Up Numeracy Individual teaching session).
