For staff who have been delivering Catch Up to learners using the original version of the intervention (based on the Catch Up Programme box).

This 2 to 3 hour training session (flexible according to need) will familiarise trainees with Catch Up Literacy (the updated version of the Catch Up Programme).

The training session gives guidance on:

• the updates made to the original programme (and the reasons behind them)
• the updates made to the Catch Up resources
• the Catch Up Community and the support it provides
• the OCN (Open College Network) ‘Delivering Catch Up Literacy’ qualification

Trainees attending a Catch Up Literacy ‘top up’ session will be entitled to purchase (or have purchased for them by the LA organiser) the Catch Up Literacy file (which contains all of the guidance and proformas needed to deliver Catch Up Literacy) at a special rate.

All trainees who attend a Catch Up Literacy ‘top up’ session and purchase a Catch Up Literacy file will have the opportunity to submit for the OCN ‘Delivering Catch Up Literacy’ qualification (subject to an accreditation fee).

NB Many Catch Up Literacy 'top up' training sessions are booked in conjunction with a three-hour Catch Up Literacy 'review' session. This also enables trainees to submit easily for Unit 3 of the OCN accredited qualification.
