What can you expect from a fifty-minute session on the intervention programme ‘Talking Maths’?
Firstly, the ‘what’ it is and how it works.
We will look at the typical pupil profile so that the right children are chosen in order to receive the greatest benefit.
You will get a chance to see how the programme is planned and assessed with real examples.
The session will also be as practical as possible – looking at the resources that have been developed and how to use them. Yes – we will do some maths!
I will demonstrate some of the ideas/approaches that form part of the six activities / areas of mathematical language that children will use – from ‘On the Table’ to ‘Detectives’.
Attendees will each receive a copy of the presentation handout, which will contain some of the demonstrated ideas / activities from the session.
View the full programme and list of speakers and book before 14th February to save 10%.
