It’s hard to believe we’re already near the end of the Autumn term – but what a busy one it has been for us all! We have been proud to continue delivering our very popular online training courses for Catch Up® Literacy and Catch Up® Numeracy; there has been a great demand for both! However, this term, it has been an absolute pleasure to also deliver some face-to-face training! As Covid-19 restrictions have eased, we have been pleased to arrange training for schools requesting our one-day format. We have, of course, followed strict protocols to keep our trainees and trainers safe, but welcome the opportunity to have the two training options available for you once again.
Joyce Hughes is one of our fantastic team, who delivers both online and face-to-face courses for Catch Up® Literacy and Catch Up® Numeracy. She has recently been able to get back on the road and visit schools in person, which she has been really pleased to do. Joyce told us, “The thought of delivering a face-to-face course, after the prolonged restrictions, made me feel a little nervous, but also very excited at resuming face-to-face interaction with trainees.” Joyce went on to explain, “The school was very welcoming, with Covid procedures clearly in place, so all felt reassuringly safe.”
She said, “It was great to have verbal and social participation in a relaxed atmosphere, with trainees clearly committed to pupils’ learning and progress, and keen to get the intervention up and running!”
During the past four months, we have delivered more than 30 ‘Delivering Catch Up®’ training courses, across both the online and face-to-face format, welcoming more than 450 trainees to the Catch Up® Community. In addition, we have, of course, continued to offer our popular Catch Up® information session webinars.
We have also been excited to add our Review and Refresh sessions once again to the Catch Up® timetable, as we can now deliver these online! The Review and Refresh training sessions are available for anyone who has been trained by Catch Up®, and wishes to review their delivery and refresh their knowledge. The online sessions are 2½ hours long and can found by looking at the ‘Additional courses’ under the ‘Training’ tab of the user account.
We always welcome feedback and suggestions from our Catch Up® Community, and are proud to read the positive responses for our courses. This term, we have been heartened by the feedback you have given us, including the following comments:
‘One of the most efficient and informative courses I have attended’
‘Fantastic, professional course’
‘I feel well prepared to deliver the intervention’
‘A good balance of instruction and interactive activities’
‘I can’t wait to get started!’
We are taking bookings for our Spring term 2022 online courses now, but they are filling up fast! We are also welcoming any requests from schools and other settings for face-to-face training. Simply visit our website to find out what’s coming up, or contact the Catch Up® team via email email@example.com or telephone 01842 821465.
We look forward to working with you to support even more struggling learners.
